The wine glass is transparent, I can see right through it. But do I know who blew the glass? The creator knows this. He made that glass, it is special to the only one that matters, the creator himself. If I put wine in that glass it must be cleaned, so it can be transparent yet again. Added design makes it tougher to clean. The glass is perfect without added design. Cleanliness is next to Godliness.

dejavu all over again, bauhaus re written. The old wine glasses, they were purchased, used, survived and now are being reused becuase they do their job well. Lets face it folks, most of what we design ends up in the garbage can or garage sale in short order as it falls out of fashion or falls apart.

I only just came across this 'super normal' concept and I really like it.It reminds me of Shaker Design.I don't think anyone from that community thought of themselves as a 'designer' or a'collector'.Anything superfluous, including the authorship and ownership of objects was avoided but human warmth remained through proportion, unfetishised material and functionality. This seems to me to be the way to find quality and dignity in designing objects that really enhance people's lives.
Am I too late to see this exhibition?

jasper , i find your reference to spray painting ghosts, poetic........ ?
however i dont get the point , are you saying to stop exploring , redifine the already defined , simplify , normalize, ....what is normal ? normal in my mind is simply something established , not proven to be the best but simply an accepted method of function , eg chair = 4 legs etc.
its japanese wisdom bottled in a german poem, trying to be normal is like putting your creative mind on a diet. see the unseen etc etc paint the ghost whatever thingy, tell me your exhibit in milan last week for capellini was normal, with models serving coffee , should you not have been locating your exhibit ON the street, with the normal people, geting real feedback. i hope you resond to this , but i suspect it will be edited or possibly trashed to avoid conflict of opinion or discussion about this -movement ? ps i do like your work for fsb , a fan , swoop.

I don't how feedback about "Super normal" with other people but for me,
,as a young designer "Super normal" like open my mind to see value of existence of unsung everyday items that surround me now.

Your viewpoints are represent a spirited product-designer.
